Nestled in the heart of chapel Allerton, Crust & Crumb has been serving up tasty food in a friendly and warm environment since 2010.

From a young age Nicola wanted to open a shop selling delicious food, it was just about finding the right opportunity which happened to come along right in the middle of the recession.

Starting out as a simple bakery, Crust & Crumb has evolved into a haven of those seeking out tasty food in a cosy setting.

Each day, the counter is filled with all sorts of homemade cakes and treats, from white chocolate brownies, rocky road, chocolate orange tiffin, salted caramel shortbread to pork and leek sausage rolls, fresh sandwiches and homemade salads.

Whether you are hankering for a post yoga nibble or a hangover-curing ‘Full English’ they have got it covered.

Growing up on a North Yorkshire farm Nicola has an inherent appreciation for quality local produce. This is showcased in the range of lovely ingredients used in the kitchen

– their meat is from award winning Lishmans of Ilkley and Sykes House Farm, breads and pastries daily from Bondgate Bakery. Dressings from Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil, Ian Taylor’s for free range eggs and Brackenhill supply the jams and chutneys.

Working closely with Jenny the shop Manager, they come up with a seasonal and varying menu to cater for all dietary requirements. Summer brings flatbreads and fresh salads bowls, winter is all about toasties, stews and hearty soups – there is always something new to try.

People from all walks of life come to socialise at Crust & Crumb whilst admiring their scrumptious array of food, from professionals to pensioners and dog walkers – water dishes and biscuits provided for well behaved pooches!!

Crust & Crumb is firmly part of the local community. It is the place to grab a quick takeout lunch and also the place to go for barista quality coffee, a wedge of cake and a good natter with friends.
